Support for families in the postpartum period
and during illness
What I do
The birth of a baby fundamentally changes the lives of the parents. The postpartum period should be a time of rest and recuperation in which the members of the new family can get to know each other and the woman can regain her strength. However, there are circumstances that can get in the way of this. Maybe you have health challenges, or maybe you don't have anyone nearby who can look after you and your newborn. As a certified postpartum doula, I am trained to support you during these times. In the time after the birth, I will help you to settle into your new situation as a family. You concentrate fully on the baby - I do the rest!
Later in life, you may also need support in caring for your family because you are ill. Then get in touch with me!

Practical help in everyday life
While you get to know your baby and regain your strength, I will take care of your household. I cook nourishing meals for you according to your wishes and habits, do the shopping and make sure that you feel comfortable. Older siblings are also in good, experienced hands with me.

Support with feeding and caring for the baby
Regardless of whether you are breastfeeding or not, whether you are using cloth diapers or not - I will support you with qualified information and accompany you on your journey. Very important: I do not replace the midwife but complement her work. On request, I can activate a network of baby carrier and breastfeeding consultants, osteopaths and other specialists.

Emotional Support
The first few weeks as a new family - no matter what the constellation - can be emotionally challenging. I will listen to you and encourage you to find your own way and move forward with confidence. I will also accompany you to the local authoritys and help you apply for benefits such as child benefit or housing benefit.
Cost
The costs for my work are covered by statutory health insurance (according to §24 g, h SGB V and §38 SGB V) during pregnancy, after birth, in the postpartum period and in the event of illness or hospital stays. I am paid by health insurance companies as a professional household helper. The prerequisite is that there is at least one child under the age of 12 in the household (does not apply in the case of pregnancy) and that the household cannot be continued by anyone living there. You always need a medical certificate of necessity to apply. I will be happy to support you in submitting the application to your health insurance company.
What clients say
About me

I have been working as a certified postpartum doula in Berlin since 2023 and support families in mastering the first weeks with their new baby and feeling safe and lovingly cared for. I am also there for you if a parent falls ill and there are children to look after in the household. My work is available to all families without judgment. Regardless of background, lifestyle or individual needs, I want to ensure that every family receives the support they need. It is particularly important to me to be open and empathetic to your needs. Together we will decide how I can best support you.
I have three children myself, two of whom are already grown up. I have lived with my family near Treptower Park for many years. I work in Treptow and the neighboring districts such as Plänterwald, Neukölln (North), Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain, Lichtenberg, Baumschulenweg, Schöneweide and Johannisthal. In individual cases, I also travel further afield.
